Transition from physical to virtual classes, a headache

We were forced to make some changes due to a pandemic situatiom that anyone was waiting for. In all this different things that we had to change, education (schools and universities) had a turning point in less than a week. Students were not prepare to such mess, many did not even know how to use or manage different apps in order to have an online class. But the worst thing was not that, what about thousands of students that did not had access to internet or did not had a computer? That was worrying, because the quality of education was going to be very poor and for limited people.

But the struggle was not only for students, teachers were also highly affected by the change, they had to apply new learning methods in order to be able and catch the student´s attention. Below you will find a video that gives us in about 2 minutes many of the questions and challenges that in this case, professor had switching from physical to virtual classes.

My case was not as bad as I thought it could be. I was able to find the way and start knowing the apps that we were using the most (basically Microsoft Teams and Zoom Meetings). I can not deny that the change was kind of weird, but I also saw different opportunities such as more time with my family during the quarantine and avoiding the public transport was also a great achievement that I was able to reach during this time. I remeber how EAFIT was able to organize the courses in a quick way, and the trainings they gave to professors and also students on how to start using this different online methods to keep studying in this pandemic stage that we are still suffering nowadays.
